01 Aug 2004 - Farfield appoint Dr Mark Gostock as Field Applications Scientist

Farfield Sensors Ltd (Manchester, UK) specialist in analytical instrumentation for protein characterisation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Mark Gostock as its new Field Applications Scientist. Mark recently gained his doctorate from the University of Nottingham, with a PhD that focussed on the development of a novel imaging SPR platform. Mark is therefore able to bring extensive experience of optical biosensors to Farfield, together with their use in the drug discovery and biotechnology marketplace.

Mark will be responsible for all aspects of product demonstration and applications work to the Farfield customer base throughout the UK. Mark will also champion the AnaLight® Systems through external seminars, workshops, and target specific technical presentations.

Mark commented; "This is a very exciting time in the expansion of Farfield, and I am lucky to be able to take such an active part in progressing the Company's growth. Farfield has a new and very powerful technology to address protein interactions and analysis, I see a major part of my new role will be to get across to as wide an audience as possible the opportunities presented by this technique."
